Global We Got Married - TaecGui - Episode 9 - Review Summary

Hello Readers from all over the Globe~! ^^

Annyeong! ^^ Just wanted to say a quick "thank you" for all the love that Mew Cafe has received so far! :D I've seen that we've had friends from all over the globe frequently checking into Mew Cafe :3 So hello friends from our top six destinations: Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines and the US for your continuous support! ^^

There are so many other countries that I haven't named, and if you are from one of them, just know that I know of you guys and I really appreciate all your support! :D I will try my best to not disappoint! ^-^

This belated Episode Review is dedicated to you guys! ^w^* (You know who you are xD)

The Big Day~~

So, most of us would've seen by now the amazingly emotional proposal Taecyeon made towards Gui Gui two weeks back, well in this episode, it's finally the wedding day! :'3

After a good sleep, in which they still look like tired puppies afterwards, Taec and Gui Gui approaches us hand in hand. <-- (Ok, I know this isn't the first time they've held hands, and I don't know about you, but it was the first time that seeing it made me squeal! >//w//<)

Taecyeon proposes to have breakfast- which is touching since he made it quite clear at the beginning that breakfast wasn't his "thing". Gui Gui had also noticed the sudden change in attitude, but Taec reassures her, saying it's because it's their wedding day, and it'll be hard on them both- especially the bride (how considerate x3).

Breakfast? Breakfast happened to be... seafood BBQ! ^^ I'm not a very big fan of seafood but watching the two dig in just made me slightly rethink about my taste in food =w=

Taecyeon's attempt at cracking the 'Oyster' joke didn't quite have the same affect as Khuntoria did, he only got the battering eyelids of Gui Gui's innocence instead x3 But who doesn't love an evil laugh at breakfast? lol

Taec then opens up a prawn, and feeds it to Gui Gui. (Something he said he's never down for a girl- not even his mother! ^^) And Gui Gui's adorable-ness when she almost nibbled Taec's fingers off was just too much! XD Lol! Nom, nom, nom, nom, nom~! ^w^

Seeing the two feed each other was very sweet~ ^w^

The Wedding~

Whilst Gui Gui gets changed into her wedding dress, Taecyeon is all ready in his Tuxedo. With Balloons and Bubble Guns in hand, he checks that everything is perfect ^^

What can I say about the wedding? It was just how Gui Gui had wanted it, just the two of them, by the beach, no guests, no officiants, just bride and groom saying their vows to each other. Just like Gui Gui said, it was "a scene from a dream". ^^

(And when they said they wanted to do it by themselves- they really weren't kidding! They even hummed the "Here Comes the Bride" song themselves! O.o)

"I, Taecyeon, solemnly swear,
whenever... there are times that you're having fun way too much,
and maybe I get tired a little bit,
but I swear that I will make you happy."

***

"I, Gui Gui, maybe Oppa sometime very 'jjandoli', I promise we are be going to happy!"

The Wedding ended with a sky of bubbles ^^
One for every memory they have made/ will make together~

At the Cave Cafe~

After a successful wedding, our TaecGui couple find themselves at a cafe within a cave. Not the most common of places to head to after a wedding, but since they're on their honeymoon to Jejudo, why not? x)

In memory of their wedding, TaeGui decides to leave a message to one another written on a heart-shaped piece of wood which would be left hanging with others in the cafe. The message was written in both Chinese and English with both their favourite cartoon characters too ^^ ♥

What made me laugh was when Taec showed off his Chinese reading skills and tried to read what Gui Gui wrote. He mistook "認識 RenShi (to meet/get to know)" for "謝謝 XieXie (thank you)", and Gui Gui corrected him unconciously with much enthusiasm in FULL Chin-glish XD

Taec's overwhelmed face was hilarious and so was Gui Gui when she noticed what she had just said, and tried to clarify what she meant which only made it more confusing for Taec xD  Gui Gui, Gui Gui, Gui Gui~ TwT

Then, taking out a lipstick, Gui Gui proposes the idea of leaving their lipstick marks on their creation, as if to "seal the deal". Taec on the other hand would rather sign his name in blood as an alternative! XD But we all know that Gui Gui would win him over eventually~ >w<

And how best to decide who goes first other than a game of Rock Paper Scissors? XD

Of all the times Gui Gui could've won, it just had to be this one! I mean, that's bad for Taec for sure, but for us, that's just letting us see what's anticipated faster, so we don't mind~~! xD

This might be the first time we've ever seen Taec go all aegyo on Gui Gui for a change (correct me if I'm wrong!), but who knew Gui Gui would be so merciless, haha xD She ends up with the brag rights of lipstick-ing an about-to-cry-an-ocean-Taec XD

After purposefully making Taec look like a clown, Taecyeon shows us (and Gui Gui!) an insight of his hidden talent in applying lipstick- even his wife was surprised at his skills!

If one game of Rock, Paper, Scissors wasn't enough, our TaecGui couple goes for Round 2 again, and this time, loser gets vandalized with the accursed lipstick. This round had Taecyeon on his knees praying to the Gods to help him preserve what's left of his "masculine pride" XD

They decide to do it back-to-back (a very unique way of playing Rock, Paper, Scissors lol) and the draws that they kept having the 2nd and 3rd time made the simple game tense to watch! I really love those mini "stretches" and "self-prep" that they do before a game, it's like they are preparing for a pro-wrestling match rather than a simple children's game! haha XD

Since Taecyeon had to face the penalty for the last round, I guess it's only fair for Gui Gui to lose in this round (it would be too harsh on manly Taec, afterall! xD), and even though it's meant to be a "penalty", Gui Gui looked like she was born to wear lip-stick blush! She looked like a real life Chibi-Chan ^w^ Oh and not to forget, Taec's reaction to his win was hilarious!

Is he really the same guy we saw before? :P

Soon after, they headed out to take their cute honeymoon selcas in front of breath-taking views of the countryside. ^^

Aquarium Date~

Keeping their promise of spending the day together, our TaecGui couple heads to their last destination of the day- a date at the Aquarium! ^^ (Everywhere they've been has all been seaside-based! x3)

Passing the nose-to-glass stage at the sight of the beautiful underwater view, our couple takes their seats at a Sea-Elephant Show. I must admit that the charisma of the creature alone cracked me up, but I really saw it coming when the trainer asked for a volunteer. GuiGui (knowing that Taec had a was repellent to animals) was more than happy to give away her husband without a second thought, and was also (shockingly) the one who was most excited when Taec was asked to "Ppo Ppo"! XD

Gotta give the guy credit for trying, I mean the Sea-Elephant sure acted a tad over-friendly~ XD

Our lovely TaecGui Couple ends their wedding day with a pot of ice-cream and pinky-promises in front of Asia's biggest Aquarium Screen to have a "happy time" during their marriage.

Heartstrings - Because I Miss You by Jung Yong Hwa - MV (Dooley)

Annyeong Yeoreobun~! ^^ ♥

I found this gem during ICT class today (after I finished my work of course ;P) on Vimeo.com, and I had to share it with you guys!

"Do you know 'Heartstrings'?" (Yong Hwa's Quote! ♥) >////w///<

Heartstrings has always been one of my favorite dramas of all time, and the songs "You've Fallen for Me" and "Because I Miss You" are always on my '25 Most Played' list on iTunes! I don't usually watch fan-made MVs, but this one is... AMAZING~! O//w//O

I really LOVE how they included scenes from the drama and you can actually hear snippets of the dialogue from the important scenes! >//w//< *spazz*

Dooliers, Heartstring-ers, this one is not to be missed! O///w///O

"Editor-nim, Saranghaeyo~~! Mwa!! ^//w//^ ♥"

Time to get Social- China! ^^

Hi All! :D

This post is gonna be a bit different than usual, and the topic is... Social Networks! :D East-Asian ones of course! ^^

So you know how, in English-speaking countries, we have social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr? (Which I only use one of <<") Well have you heard of any from East Asia? ^^ If you haven't, here are some below with a brief description and review, and if you like the sound of them- feel free to check them out for yourself! xD

Today, I will be introducing some of the major ones from China, and if you guys are interested, I'll post some from Japan and Korea too! ^^

Weibo 微博

Weibo (微博) is like the Chinese counterpart of Twitter which can be found online at: www.weibo.com

The site is in complete Chinese. Whether or not it allows you to translate it into other languages I have not found out about yet, but they do have apps available for the iPhone/iPod Touch (not sure about iPad), as well as Android smartphones which is an "international" version with user interface in English.

I personally prefer Weibo over Twitter any day, and that's because, for me, it's much easier to get followers and get connected with others on Weibo than it is on Twitter- but that's just from personal experience. I would also suggest using Weibo for those of you who are learning Chinese at around intermediate level and higher, it would help with your Chinese vocabulary and fluency-wise.

And also, if you are interested in Chinese celebs and shows, you'll most probably find them on Weibo. ^^

My Weibo: "靓靓2926" (liangliang2926) ^^

(The registration process is the same as any other social networks, eg. Name, Age, E-Mail Address, Password etc.)

QQ

I know what you're thinking!! "This mascot is soo cute~! >w<" But don't underestimate this penguin, because it's the mascot of one of the most (if not the most) dominating companies in China!

QQ is pretty much the Chinese equivalent of... MSN?  <<" In a way it is, but that comparison really does no justice to the true mass of digital services behind those flippers! The reason I compared it to MSN is because it's main feature is a messenger/ IM Chat. Well at least that's what it started off as, but now that's a different matter.

QQ is a little different compared to other social networks, you will need to download it like you would MSN and then install it. I can't remember clearly if you need an E-Mail address to sign up, but I bet you do. (What doesn't these days??) You won't be logging in with your E-Mail address though, or your standard customize-able username, instead, you are allocated your own unique combination of digits most probably starting with the number 2. Mine is about 10 digits, and yes, you will have to remember this off by heart (unless you're gonna tick the "log me in automatically" box every time, but what if you forget it?).

As I said, QQ has a variety of products such as: QQ Mail, QQ Music (a free program where you can stream online music and... ehem... download. Legal or not, I don't know. Different people have different opinions on that matter.), online video streaming, anti-virus programs, loads of games, etc.

If you are a foreigner and you'd like to use QQ, I'd suggest that you make a lot of friends with QQ first hehe, QQ is rather boring if you don't have any friends to add. But if you are like me, you might want to try creating a QQ account and just use the other features such as QQ Music ^^

This is all for now, I may add some more later! ^^

When Love Walked In - 爱情闯进门 - Drama Review ^^ (Spoiler Alert!)

Da Jia Hao~! ^^

So, some of yous might already know about this, but I've been watching the Taiwanese Drama "When Love Walked In" (爱情闯进门) lately and I've just finished the last episode a few days ago. ^^

Review Time~~! ^-^ ♥

I've pretty much covered everything on first impressions etc. in my last post so I'll just write from the point of view of someone who has watched everything from start to finish :D

Beware of SPOILERS~~ ^w^

Our sunny Victoria as Ya Yin! ^///^
First of all, this drama was amazing- the plot, the feel of it and the characters and their developments, everything a 10/10! ^^ Maybe its just me but I love (like I mentioned in the previous post) the cute atmosphere of  the drama. For someone who loves Romantic Comedies, this drama has been a gem and a real savouring treat! ^w^

Kgghhhh~~ Her evil presence~~~~!! ==
On the subject of characters, each are unique and lovable in their own way. We all love a drama with interesting characters! ^^ I particularly like the fact that in this drama, no character is purely evil (Yep! Not even Ya Yin's witch of an older cousin! T-T). This is one of those tear-jerking dramas where the characters we think are evil are actually all good on the inside, they just think stupid things, do stupid things and end up making life hell for the protagonists, but at the end of the day, they sit down and have a counselling session in which everybody forgives and forgets and lives happily ever after as good guys. (I actually like these types of dramas hehe =w=)

Hurray for friendship! ^^

There are more than one loveline in this drama (which is always good), and the pairings are adorable ^^ I particularly LOVE the main couple, I really love both characters, their interactions and how they have such good affinity- to the point where they're probably destined for each other. Oh and we all love a story where characters have a mysterious past! xD

My Feels! > A <
The way they linked the story to so many symbolic objects makes one nostalgic. I know the next time I walk by my living room curtains -which has a glass ball attached on either side of the rod- I'd probably cry a river, and the next time I see a needle, I'd imagine three little angles flying around it by the name of 雨林风! x'3

I also love dramas that have good OSTs. In my opinion, they make a good drama even better and makes it all the more special- and this drama is one of them. The OSTs (although not many) are amazing, they can really hit your soft spots and warm your heart too ^^ The theme tune: 爱情闯进门 by By2 has been stuck on replay in my head. You will be able to hear this song playing in our cafe too! ^^ ♥

Why is love so complicated?
The only thing which probably bugged me about this drama lies behind Yu Jiang- the main male protagonist. He is a mega cool genius when it comes to everday-life but he's sooo weak and indecisive when it comes to girls and relationships- to the point where I'm mentally bashing my head against a wall! T A T (C'mon, he insisted on marrying two other women and persuaded the girl he did love to marry another guy... ==)

They meet again! x'3
Aside from that, this drama is amazing and very worth watching. If you enjoyed the Korean dramas "Playful Kiss" and "Heartstrings" then I'd recommend this to you because the feel of it is like a mesh of the two ^^ Oh and if you like Victoria from f(x), Taiwanese Boy Band Fahrenheit, Super Junior M or just Flower Guys and Girls in general, then you should check this idol drama out! xD

Ahh~ Withdrawal symptons~~! :'3

晚安! d(=w =
